De La Hoya, who promotes Barrera, knows that Barrera's best chance is toget this fight to the cards. Without Reyes gloves, that is more possible. They will probably wear Everlast gloves, the conventional boxing glove. It has alot of protection and padding, and is favored by fighters with decent pop but fragile hands. They are good gloves, standards for the amateurs. It will effect the fight minimally, but not as much as wearing Winning Gloves, which are absolute coasters.

i read this from somewhere too, but from the majority of fights ive seen barrera in, he wears reyes gloves too so why would oscar do something like this (if this is true) wouldnt he be hindering barrera too??? when barrera wanted to fight naseem hamed, erik morales in their 2nd and 3rd fights he insisted on wearing reyes gloves. what gloves would barrera wear if he aint werain reyes anymore??? i think ive seenhim in everlast when he fought peden
