First, if they should ban a glove it should be "GRANT"...those gloves, even though the same weight, are to dam puffy, allowing boxers to block more punches by just sticking their hands up, example, WINKY "I WEAR THESE GLOVES BECAUSE THEY PROTECT MY ENTIRE HEAD AND I DON'T CARE IF IT MAKES ME A BORING FIGHTER" WRIGHT."
I am not saying blocking is a bad thing for a fighter, but when it is a clear advantage, takes less skill to just hold your hands up without having to roll with the punch or bob and weave, it makes a fight boring. These gloves are taking boxing further away from barenuckle boxing, a form in which you see in bars or in the streets, where fights were really intended. Boxing was used as a "Self-defense/Offense" in its true form: when you are met on the street by an asswhole, you display your boxing talent, unless the guy has a gun then you just show him your wallet or your own gun.

If I am not mistaken, boxing gloves were only ment to protect a fighter's hands, not give him an advantage of blocking punches by just putting up your hands.
Seriously, when was the last time you saw someone in a fist-fight able to just hold his hands up to protect his entire head?


The last thing is this, if true, how is Oscar and Barrera going to explain why they don't want to wear MEXICAN gloves?
