  • Floyd on ESPN

Looks like boxing finally got some airplay on sportcenter. Kinney interviewed him, and it got pretty heated. Floyd said if he retired now, he would be considered the best of all time.

I admit Floyd overdid that part but **** that anyway. You guys are missing the best part. He told Kenney that he didnt know anything about boxing. I hate Brian more then anyone in the sport. Everything about him makes me sick. Im glad someone finaly told him off

I just think it isnt fair for fighters to ctiticise journalists just because they havent "laced em up." Everyone should be able to have an opinion. Its not like he was giving Floyd advice on what to do.

kinney was being a jerk and trying to downplay baldomir, after saying three months ago floyd should fight him.kinney is your typical jealous hypocrite. The fight will selland do huge numbers despite the hating

lol. i didnt see this but if floyd actually told KENNY that he doesnt know anything about boxing, then that would be the SECOND time he has said that

he was also interviewed before the judah fight and again yelled at kenny. idk why they keep having floyd on the show if always ends in an arguement! i guess thats just good TV

Of course journalists don't have to box to give their opinion about boxing, but they at least have to be knowledgable journalist. In other words really know the sport. A rookie would say for example; Delahoya could have gotten up from that shot, other fighters have but he couldn't, so the rookie will say the fight was bought. Having experianced a bodyshot like that would allow him to accept the situation for what it was, or if he was an experianced boxing fan -meaning a long time boxing fan- he would know this happens in boxing somtimes when the perfect punch gets thrown to the body, or when a fighter before never experiance a bodyshot, doesn't know how to react. But journalist can be respected without having a boxing background but they must be true boxin fans, not your ever big event boxing fans who only shows up for a Delahoya fight or a Tyson fight.

Mayweather is absolutely nowhere to be seen in terms of the greatest of all-time.

However, he IS the best of all-time!

Floyd Mayweather is the most skilled fighter I've ever seen, and I've seen them all - from Gans to Toney.

Yeah best of all time in his own world.

But in the real world if he retires now, he'll be known as the paper p4p champ who run away from fighters who's calling him.
