      i got winky

and yeah, i'm sorry but simply being undefeated doesn't make you a P4P contender, anyway you look at it, that's not how the rankings work, it's about how you've been recently in boxing, and recently, Pacman and Winky have fought better competition than Mayweather at this point in time

There you go again. He has fought second tier fighters since Castillo in 2002! The others. fought top fighters

I'm not even a Floyd fan really. But with Winky's last late fight blunder and Pacquiao's bumbling of the JMM fight and his lost to Morales, why aren't names of fighters like Jermain Taylor or Joe Calzaghe or Barrera or Rafael Marquez or another fighter with a winning streak on the list instead of Wright and Pac?

its not the loss, its how you beat them on the rematch.

There's a big chance that Pac will "fumble" or lose coz he fought the best competiton. Mayweather is undefeated coz he fought Sharmba, Gatti, and Corley. These are not the highest level of fighters in his weightclass. It's comparable to Pac fighting two 3K batteries and 1 Turdsack Jandaeng.
On the other hand Winky has fought great competiton too..Mosley twice, Trinidad and Jermain.....he "fumbled" in the Jermain fight coz Jermain is the highest level at Middleweight just like Marquez was in the featherwieght during that time.

truly great fighters don't need a rematch to figure their opponent out

I personally don't think the blunder and bumbles how you put it have affected pac or Winky too much, cos they were TOP fighters who they were fighting. I see the point your making I just don't agree. BUT the second part of your post I do agree with! Calzaghe esspecially needs more recognision.

Floyd's biggest wins are over Corrales and Castillo.

Wright's biggest wins are over Mosley and Trinidad, and yet he's been pretty much shafted by Vargas and Taylor in their respective fights. Wright has also easily outpointed Candelo, Hernandez, Soliman, and McKart.

Floyd's resume just doesn't stack up to the Winkster.
