He looked brilliant in '98, weighing about 230. But then in '99, he was 250+ and very dissappointing, a shadow of his '98 form. For the Olympics he trimmed back down to 235-240.

He has the best left uppercut in the heavyweight division, infact his left uppercut might even be the best punch in that division. His right jab has never been great (still paws with it too much), but he times those left crosses well, and reminds me of Rid**** Bowe in that he can fight on the inside as well as he can on the outside (if not better) - which is a rariety for such a big guy. He's always had a lot of dexterity on the inside for a 6'6" guy, but often didn't and doesn't open up enough, simply doesn't let his hands go enough. Maybe he IS abit of a *****, I don't know.
So you rate his power a fair bit then?

For his size, he's not a big puncher at all.

That's what I thought. When you said you rated his left uppercut, you were talking about the technical aspect of it, right?

You're a spamming tard at times, Juice, but I always respect your opinion.

          That's right.

Every time I've ever seen him attempt that shot, it's landed clean.

I think there's certainly no denying his technical skill, just that he's in the wrong division for it.

What still amazes me is that he took on the Williams bout when he already knew what My Boy's power was like.

The fact that he signed for it convinced me that he must be sure of his own chin for taking it... he clearly wasn't, in the event.

YOUR BOY!! was fat when he came into the fight. lol

saying that, Audley isnt all to blame. I mean when you get up from a knock down and your back in the corner you expect your trainer to motivate you and slap you on the head. Thell Thorrence is such a laid back guy. he dont even shout.

I've not seen the Guinn fight. That doesn't suprise me though, because his head must of been elsewhere.

I don't know, I guess they weren't that interested in him anymore.

Saw the fight, watched it twice for some strange reason. It was like a war of attrition, but with both sides seeing who could do the least. Rather than win the fight, Guinn lost it less.

Most amusing moment came when Audley tried to showboat by talking to Guinn mid-fight... only for his mouthpiece to fall out and Audley to try and catch it like a spazz. The ref picked it up while Guinn bum-rushed him.
