It just gets real annoying. However, I agree with what your saying, if he does beat those 8, he will definately be up there with Robinson, Pepp, Armstrong, etc.

My bad for quoting you, I was talking more about people like El Temible and DiegoFuego who claim he's the GOAT already which pisses the living **** out of me. I doubt he could beat those 8, honestly. No way in hell, he lost 4 rounds to Judah, which is nothing to be proud of.
wtf has that 2 do with anythin

He was taking his time with Judah. He bloodied up Judah and kicked his ass for the rest of the fight. Except the 12th. He said he went to the body and broke him down. It was a gameplan.

Maybe with the exception of Cotto, these are the established ones he should definetly fight.

          Hatton
          De La Hoya
          Cotto
          Baldomir
          Mosley
          Winky

Then perhaps beat a few up and coming stars that the public demand. One of them being:

          Margarito
          1 other

This way if he wins them all he has beaten the best the world had to offer, from both the fighters that have been there and done that, and also some of the hungry up and coming fighters who are constantly looking to de-throne him.

Retire undefeated after those fights and HOF is guaranteed along with maybe a top 10 P4P place (of all time).

talent wise, mayweather could be a atg if he retired today...

he is the most natural fighter today

he had tremendous skill in every catagory... he isnt bad at anything at all. except he has weak hands and he's not a puncher...
            ---------------
and i think he can and will beat all 8 of those guys (except hatton :P) but i dont think he'll take them all in a row. he'll take 4 or 5, then fight someone else (a bum. i mean if jermain taylor is allowed to fight mora, why can mayweather fight ben rabah or something) and then take on the rest

                Here what I could see

                Nov- Baldomir for the title
Feb- Mosley to beat a hall of famer
May- DLH, obviously for most and fame
the last 2 could never happen, so I'm just thinking if things fall in this order.
Late next year- Hatton if he finally takes the fight. If not then he will never fight him because Floyd won't be able to make 140 forever.
Early 2008- Spinks if he still has the 154 title
2008- Williams/Margarito- one won't be around, the other will be highly regarded.
early 2009- Cotto, MEGA-FIGHT. And probably the last of PBFs career as he "passes the torch" and moves on to other business ventures.

funny how u put "MEGA-FIGHT" next to a cotto fight, but not next to a mosley or DLH fight. lol.

a baldy fight is more mega than the Cotto fight, IMO. because of the cinderella story and all.

I agree with alot of the lists already posted, but my dream fight would be against Winky, it would be at the top of my list. If he beats Winky along with Mosley, DLH & a few others already mention, he'd be one of the GOAT, at least in my book.

If Mayweather beats Baldomir to become champ at 147, beats Spinks and Mosley to become the man at 154, beats De La Hoya, AND somehow beats the middleweight champ (don't see how if it's Taylor), and still manages to retire undefeated, then he will be, without a doubt, the greatest fighter of all time.
