Forbes has very little power, but relies on his solid boxing skills and bulldog style to wear down his opponent. For some reason, Forbes did not fight for almost a year, and then lost his title by not being able to make weight in his title defense against David Santos. Forbes came into the ring at 152 pounds, no where near the Junior Lightweight limit. Forbes won a very close split decison, but the belt was vacated. Forbes heart has to be questioned and recently resurfaced in the Lightweight division, but says he will get a title shot next at Junior Lightweight.
What did Forbes weigh at the weigh-in for the fight? How many pounds over was Forbes?
