I like both fighters but c'mon, give JMM some credit for fighting the fight of his life.
I give JMM credit for his fight with Pacquiao.

But the problem is he backed out of a rematch with Pacquiao, no matter what the reason is. Then he fought the likes Polo and Terdsak. He needs to step up on competition. Hopefully he can do that with Golden Boy Promotions. If there is anyone who really schooled Pacquiao, then it will be Erik Morales.

Nothing against JMM but the result was a draw. And if JMM still keeps fighting the likes of Terdsak, then JMM legacy will only be known to have fought and draw with Pacquiao.
DUDE, when are you gonna get it through your head that Pacquiao had the chance to finish off Marquez in the first round... HE COULDNT DO IT! WHY? Cause JMM outboxed his ass, its hard to even think he didnt after getting a ****in draw...OR ATLEAST MAKING IT CLOSE, you guys make it seem like losing by ****ing point is a big difference....

if you take away the 3 knockdowns guess who would've won? JMM...

Man your talking out of your ass like all the nuthuggers, theres like a million interviews about why the rematch didnt happend and it clearly says JMM was getting robbed..

Your saying JMM didnt school Pacquiao? Then how did he make it such a close fight?

You must be new to boxing, because before pacquiao came along Juan Manuel Marquez already had a deep name in boxing. Everybody respected him and his skills, so much that Nassem Hamed did everything he could to avoid him. Marquez will not onlyl be known for his fight with pacquiao but for his excellant boxing skills, his great counter punching ability. West Coast, knew about Marquez years before pacquiao hit the scene. Juan Manual Marquez comes from the Great Western Fourm fighters who fought regularly on tv in the Great Western Fourm. The people who know Marquez only for his fight with pacquiao are, once and awhile boxing fans, they are the ones that go to the hyped fights only.

Marquez schooled pacquiao, shame on pacquiao for not finishing the job after three knockdown, then again, knock Marquez down 4 times and he's still getting up and going to school you the rest of the rounds.

It took a trip deep into the jungles of Indonisia to robb Marquez of his victory over John.

You may not want to give Terdsak credit for his effort but he went 12 rounds with Juan Guzman and Marquez tko'd him in less then 8 and knocked him down twice.
Legacy has been talked about before BHOP.

Like i posted before,i admit that i am not as knowledgeable in boxing as other members. I didn't have cable nor computer back then, so my boxing news back then is limited to the newspapers. But since i have both now, i am getting more info on the boxing world.

I have heard of Barrera and Morales even before Pacquiao defeated MAB, but never heard of JMM.

If there ever was a fighter who schooled Pacquiao then its Morales. Schooling does not end up in a draw.

Marquez wasn't robbed, the judges were not Indonesians. If it were not for the low blows, Chris John would have won it by close UD.

I know. I've read your posts and your quite reasonable. I was quoting Psychopath who blamed Pac for not finishing JMM off because of a "hurt left arm". We all know that is a lie. Supporting a fighter is one thing, being biased and lying is another.

JMM would have won if there was no 3 knockdowns, but there was 3 knockdowns. That's like saying if Pacquiao has no cut and wearing Reyes gloves, Pacquiao could have knockdown Morales in the first fight resulting in a draw.

Just as Xcaret said, after 3 knock downs, Marquez got a draw! Marquez had to win almost every round to get the draw, but reality is Marquez schooled pacquiao round by round after the knock downs.

Im sorry you didn't get to hear about Marquez back then.

Actually that comparison is nothing like that of the Marquez fight.

Never heard of "hurt left arm" excuse. The JMM-Pacquiao fight was officialy a draw, whether who schooled who or who has 3 knockdowns.

If you back and read Pychopaths post he is saying that the reason why Pac/JMM ended in a draw was because Pac hurt his left arm sometime during the fight and could not use it. A flat out lie.

I like both fighters but sometimes the nuthugging on this topic gets out of hand.
