I want to ask the other pinoy posters. The ones who really know boxing.

Do you really believe that Erik Morales is taking the 3rd fight with Manny Pacquaio for a paycheck?
I am not as knoweledgeable in boxing as other member in here.....

Like in other sports, even though atheletes want to be the best, they also play for money. That's one of the factors that other atheletes want to turn professional.

As far as Erik on the trilogy, EM will be fighting mostly for his legacy. He wants to show the boxing fans that he still a top fighter and that he is better than Pacquiao. But if he losses to Pacquiao by KO/TKO might led him to retirement, if Erik believes that he does not had it anymore. But even with a loss in the trilogy, i believed Erik's pride will not lead him to retirment, he might move up weight.

Yes i do believed also that Erik is fighting for a paycheck(not his last of course), just like Pacquiao, Barrera, Dela Hoya, Toney, PBF Mayweather, Shane Mosley, etc....

If JMM really schooled Marquez, why is it a draw? if the judge score it correctly at 10-6, who would be the winner? Why did Lederman had Pac winning on his scorecard?

Nothing against JMM but the result was a draw. And if JMM still keeps fighting the likes of Terdsak, then JMM legacy will only be known to have fought and draw with Pacquiao.

Yeah JMM schooled Pacquiao to a draw on that fight but that was because he hurt his killer left arm on the third round. And ****** as you are you are trying to deny that despite Pacquiao having the problem, and despite the ****** judge's error all JMM could come up was a draw.

And Pac wanting to prove that he can finish off JMM wanted the rematch, but your brave aztec warrior repeatedly chickened out.

                    Isn't that a fact xcarriot?

Ummm...either you hate JMM or you are a biased poster. That is a flat out lie and an excuse.

I like both fighters but c'mon, give JMM some credit for fighting the fight of his life.

Honestly, im tired of this legacy crap people keep talking about. Thanks to Bernard Hopkins everybody is talking about legacy this, legacy that.

You must be new to boxing, because before pacquiao came along Juan Manuel Marquez already had a deep name in boxing. Everybody respected him and his skills, so much that Nassem Hamed did everything he could to avoid him. Marquez will not onlyl be known for his fight with pacquiao but for his excellant boxing skills, his great counter punching ability. West Coast, knew about Marquez years before pacquiao hit the scene. Juan Manual Marquez comes from the Great Western Fourm fighters who fought regularly on tv in the Great Western Fourm. The people who know Marquez only for his fight with pacquiao are, once and awhile boxing fans, they are the ones that go to the hyped fights only.

Marquez schooled pacquiao, shame on pacquiao for not finishing the job after three knockdown, then again, knock Marquez down 4 times and he's still getting up and going to school you the rest of the rounds.

It took a trip deep into the jungles of Indonisia to robb Marquez of his victory over John.

You may not want to give Terdsak credit for his effort but he went 12 rounds with Juan Guzman and Marquez tko'd him in less then 8 and knocked him down twice.
