I think Arguello's name should be tossed into the list. He fought past, present and future champs:

Marcel (lost to Marcel in his first world title try, then failed to avenge the loss as Marcel retired after the fight)
    Ray Mancini
    Billy Costello
    Jim Watt
    Claude Noel
Aaron Pryor (lost twice to The Hawk)
    Bobby Chacon
    Rafael (Bazooka) Limon
Alfredo Escalera (won twice over Escalera; Escalera held the WBC SuperFeather title registering some ten title defenses before Arguello took it from him)
    Royal Kobayashi
    Ruben Olivarez
    Boza Edwards
    Jose Luis Ramirez
    Navarette

that's on top of such tough contenders as:

Ruben Castillo (undefeated in over 40 fights when he faced El Flaco)
    Roberto Elizondo
    James Busceme
Andrew Ganigan (trhe original "Hawaiian Punch")
    Arturo Leon
    Rigoberto Riasco

Three of those champs' names (Pryor, Chacon and Olivarez) are in the Hall.

Without question Ali. Countless hall of famers, ex-champions and 5 star fighters on his record.

The only controversy was the Hagler fight, which I though Leonard won & hurts me to say it. Actually Ali had more Controversy in his big wins then Leonard did.

The Leonard era was the best era of boxing history, Leonard is the only one to have wins against Hagler, Benitiz, Duran and Hearns.

Ali's big names were good, but not as good as Leonard's, especially when we're counting from the all time great P4P list of fighters..
