Lennox was NOT a great champion!

Maybe he was a great fighter, but a great chamion?

He was KTFO twice. Both times with one single shot.
Although they were hard punches, the fact that he was overconfident and unfocused TWICE in his career as champion to me suggests he wasnt a great champion.

Joe Louis, Ezzard Charrles, Floyd Patterson, Joe Frazier, George Foreman, Mike Tyson Evander Holyfield...

    all stopped in title fights.

Losses happen, and the farther back you look the more legends you see who lost fights.

It's avenging losses and winning fights that make a champion.

Suggesting Lewis was a poor champion makes you biased and ignorant.

I dismiss your opinion and label this thread useless.

He was a great champion, he did lose those fights and avenged them both via stoppage, retiring as 1 of 3 Heavyweight Champions to have beaten every man he ever faced.

How's about you make a poll asking "Was Lennox Lewis a Great Champion" and see how valid your 'opinion' is...

ali lost against leon spinks does this make him a bad champion?

the sign of a good champ is coming back from a loss to win!

marciano was the only champ to retire without taking a loss

Lewis' losses would be a lot worse if it wasn't for the fact he avenged them.

How many guys suffer stoppages like that and come back so determined in the rematch?

Especially in the Rahman rematch. that was 6 months after he got cracked, and he had a look of violence on his face from the ring entrance.

At Heavyweight, one punch can change everything. It's what happens after and outside of that that determines greatness.

That's not a good example to try to use to defend Lennox, lawl.

I think Lennox was a fairly good champion for boxing. If you suggest that those losses make him not so, then I suggest that putting boxing on center stage somewhat and being recognized by common people, not just boxing fans, is an accomplishment in our day and age.
