    I think he does get enough credit.

    Maybe at the time people didnt think he was a great infighter, but that soon changed.
    He could do it all.
    Very strong, tough, conditioned.

          Hagler was ripped and stronger than anyone he fought. He was probably the best middleweight. besides SRR

            Hagler is one of the most complete fighters I've ever seen, if not the. You need to check him circa 77-78 when he was a power-hitting counter-puncher to see him at his best.

              Haglers strengths were on inside, that being his heart and will. He would do what he had to in the ring but more importantly he would do anything that he had to during training.

                hagler was well conditioned and strong for every fight,
                but for me his biggest strength was his mental toughness.
                he had a deeply instilled will to win,
                which was driven by his need for respect and adulation of others.
                when a fighter uses the words jail for training camp,
                and war for the fight ya know he means business.

                and on a sidenote;
                sugar ray robinson was not the greatest middleweight ever!!
                he was the greatest welterweight of all time!
                and probably the best p4p of all time!!!
                but even though he won the middleweight title numerous times his best work was definitely at welter.

                    Mozon was a better middleweight than Hagler or SRR in my opinion. That guy was just a titan at middleweight. Immensely strong, determined, and durable as well as skilled. Hagler was one of the best conditioned boxers of the modern era, and the hard work he put in at the gym was there for anyone to see in his chiseled torso, but Monzon was much stronger and overall more of a complete package. I mean, the guy was a light heavyweight on stilts who was also a patient and well schooled boxer.
