no way is Baldi bad opposition for Floyd he is the welterweight linear champion.

Well, Baldomir IS the World Welterweight Champion, so I don't see how it can be bad in any sense of the word.

If Floyd schools him, as many think he will...not me....it is still against the World Champ, so this fight is a plus-plus as far as I'm concerned. Just because Floyd's poplular (both bad and good) and many think of him as the best p4p fighter in the world, that doesn't make him the champ....only beating the reigning champ can do that. P4P is a mythical title, not a real one. The one around Baldomir's waste is the genuine article and should Floyd beat him for it, it will add credence to his p4p claim.

Not bad but, I am wondering if those people who dislike Mayweather will say things like:
He was an old guy with no power.
He was handpicked by Floyd.
Floyd never fights anyone good except for uknowned or washed up bums

I've heard it all before. Just wondering if he gets any props for taking this fight.

Deeznuts, people who dislike Mayweather are not going to be satisfied until he takes on Margarito and wins...then, barring some excuse, they will grudgingly give ground.

baldy is a BIG underdog to floyd.... so while baldy is the champ and he beat 2 mediocre ex-champs this year, its not that much of a step up for floyd, who's competition the last 3 years have been underwhelming... tony, cotto, hatton, shane, oscar, winky, forrest, ike, ouma, even williams would be less of an underdog than baldy is...
