    Valdez is elite fighter

He can switch between styles, not many guys can do that.

I would love him to see fighting Lomachenko.

With the way he was spinning and using lateral movement, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was studying Lomas and Canizalez footwork. He wasn’t quite on their level with it but there was a definite improvement in that regard.

His use of the jab last night was masterful. If he keeps that up he's a problem for anyone.

Can't be denied. Valdez dominated Berchelt who at the very least was a very solid champion.

Especially for the shorter fighter with less reach. The jab controlled the fight. Good observation.

I think some of the credit needs to go to Eddie Reynoso, Valdez was a give and take fighter at featherweight. The improvements were there for us to see.

I don't know if he is elite or not but that was one of my favorite performances of the last few years. Always been a fan of Valdez and he put on his best performance to date. Excited to see him going forward.

Off the Berchelt performance he looks elite but then his other fights say otherwise. But now he may be peaking with arguably the best trainer in the world so let's see.

                  That can't be denied either.
