    • That was probably the most chills I have gotten from watching Boxing/MMA in awhile. Miguel took a pounding that could be career threatening. Not good either way, but luckily that left hook hit him on the chin and not the temple or it could have been even more ugly.

Viva Oscar but he's too small for 135. He already 30, he done growing.

            • The one thing no one can say is it was a lucky punch. That bone-chilling power from Valdez was on display throughout. So much smarter, better timing, better movement, a true modern, technical Mexican warrior. My favorites of the Mexican style run from Jose Pipino Cuevas who was not fancy but broke eye sockets, ribs, jaws, you name it, he was a wrecking machine - all the way to the incredible finesse of Salvador Sanchez. And everything in between.

              • Valdez simply knew how to throw faster than Berchelt, but he takes these long awkward pauses, but he is timing his shot. That Uppercut should have the ended of the fight. Absolutely no reason to continue. Dude was on spaghetti legs for 2:00-3:00 of round 4. Berchelt's plan was to bull him around and he did effectively in Rds 6-8. which is crazy. He took a pummeling and is a warrior for how well he did in the middle rounds. GRANITE Chin. But that should have been stopped.

As far as the KO went it was Marquez/Pacquaio. Difference being Pacquaio was handily beating Marquez before lured into the KO punch.

I wouldn't go that far but yeah it was reminiscent to that KO. Both dudes never saw that punch coming

I think you have it right about Manny becoming a more careful fighter. If he had been more cautious against Marques he'd have won the fight. As a Pacquaio fan that particular fight left me feeling cheated.
