who could see that? he landed a good right and spent more than a minute trying to finish kovalev without success. kovalev was actually far more recovered when the figth was stopped on the low blows then when the right hand landed. if you want to see a fight where kovalev was done watch alvarez and canelo ko him. ward tried to get kovalev to that point but didnt seem to have it in him, kovalev was avoiding almost everything ward was throwing at him when the low blows happened. obv we dont know if ward just got sloppy or frustrated so he low blowed him but kovalev still deserved to fight and not to mention ward deserved to be punished for all the low blows but the ref swallowed his whistle...and something else

Coming up from 130, he was an A teetering on A+. Now at 135, he has dropped imo to a solid A-. Kudos to him for moving up and taking tough fights though. Most guys in his position would have avoided Teo altogether, or at least drained him.

But the fights vs Linares and Campbell were less than exceptional as well. It's a tough call really. I could see any grade for him, from A+ to A-.

Idk, I think Linares was a pretty gritty win.

Good analysis, right on. I gave him a B+, but like you I had him at an A/A- before he went to 135.

Gritty win for sure, got hit clean way too much for me to think of him as an A. To compare, I don't see someone like Teofimo, Mikey Garcia, Haney, even Tank or Ryan getting hit so much by Linares.

Meh, he seemed pretty in control to me.

A to A- sublime (A+) skills but he hurt his legacy going too high.

Loma is a grade A fighter

Andre Ward is a A+ fighter

Deontay Wilder is a B level fighter

                  Can't wait for GGG grades......

A can't give him an A+ because he gives up way too many early rounds and it cost him in both the Salido and Teo fights.

I'm not sure about this. I think he should be commended for going up to 135. Sure he did have a hard time in his lightweight fights but that's what you expect. He could have stayed at 130 and beat everyone not named Gervonta relatively easily
