A spilt decision in Germany right ? Hmmm.
And don’t forget Culcay gave Derevenchenko nightmares. And Chenko gave GGG and Jacob’s nightmaresComment

Yeah I guess? I believe I gave Jack 1st, 3rd, 10th, and 11th. Plus Sergiy didn't have his normal trainer in his corner....
I will give u this Jack did have BOTH Andrade and Sergiy on tilt in the 10th and 12th rounds.Comment

You are right. Am not fan but the guy, ginger, has progressed. He does choose his opponents carefully, but unifying a division nowadays is admirable. Gone are the days where you have one champ per weight class. Neither jr or super weight division. So getting all the belts is truly an accomplishment.Comment

There's so many things wrong with what you said. I asked for a direct question & didn't get a direct answer. You throwing out convictions based off opinions but no supporting evidence or facts, just a bunch of "ifs & if this was that." If I called someone something I can support why they fit the description. Not speculate if they do..
Canelo has been selecting who he wanted to fight for the better part of a decade if not more. It's always interesting to me how people criticize fighters for NOT having politics an economics in their favor, the ability to pick & choose opposition, & say next to nothing to the chosen few who do. & that's not a pass for anybody to duck anybody & or just wait for a cash cow pay day. But I'm also not gonna disregard the opposition being selected & the reasons for the selection. Whilst chastising certain other fighters resume for lack of opportunity.Comment

I don't remember every post you have made on here. So I don't remember if you are a Canelo hater or not. Unlike some other screen names which I do know for a fact drink a lot of Haterade. There's so many things wrong with what you said. I asked for a direct question & didn't get a direct answer. That's why I gave you my criteria. If the shoe fits wear it, if not then don't.
At the end of the day Canelo has the best resume in the sport outside of Pacquiao. And he has selected fights that were high risk, low reward at times when others wouldn't have (Austin Trout, Erislandy Lara for example.)
If it's so easy to move up weight classes and beat guys with belts then why haven't others done it? If it's so easy to unify all the belts at 168 then why hasn't anyone else attempted it? Instead they sit around fighting nobodies, playing it safe while waiting for Alvarez to hopefully call their number.
He's taking the initiative and making moves for himself. He acts, others just react. That's a boss right there. Deserving of your respect.Last edited by ShoulderRoll; 02-22-2021, 02:19 PM.Comment

You don't remember if I'm a Canelo hater butu lumped me in with a group of them just cause you felt like it. The internet is a wild place lol.I don't remember every post you have made on here. Austin Trout ain't never been high risk for any top fighter in his life. Lara was definitely high risk but Canelo fought him & took his controversial victory & ran.
It seems you didn't understand my previous reply. Didn't Andrade wanna unify with Canelo? Butu said 68 so I guess that means more. Didn't Andrade wanna fight BJS? Didn't he say after he won he would want other top guys there (68)? Or come down to unify against another top guy if those fights can't get made? Could Andrade, Charlo, or GGG command a fight with Cotto? Could Andrade or Charlo select Kovalev after he was a few punches away from being stopped against Yarde? Can they command him to immediately hop back into training camp after a tough fight? Do circumstances matter? Or is it "he added a top name on his resume & they didn't", as if the opportunity was ever there for them to command a fight with Kovalev. Canelo is using his leverage to fight certain fighters when HE feels he's ready. Some people don't see it. But if you followed his career as long as I have it's indisputable. Canelo is very strategic & I'm aware of how strategic he is.
I can't respect how he's maneuvered around certain threats.
I'll leave with this:"I could care less about who moves up in weight. It’s a joke in this era unless you clean out your division. In another comment someone brought up Leo Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz has won titles from 118-126. He has had a very good career. But GGG will get into the HOF before him.
Staying in the same division and taking on the best available guy fight after fight is much harder. I’m telling you guys moving up is overrated for the most part and you have to look at cases specifically. If GGG were to fight Andrade, Charlo and Canelo back to back back. It would be more impressive than moving up cherry picking a titlist." - Stephen "Breadman" Edwards.Comment

I didn't lump you in, all I did was take a shot at all Canelo haters on page 1. You're the one that took it personally and asked for clarification. So I clarified. You don't remember if I'm a Canelo hater butu lumped me in with a group of them just cause you felt like it. The internet is a wild place lol.

I'll leave with this:
Austin Trout was indeed high risk at one time. Just ask Miguel Cotto.
Andrade backed out of a fight with Charlo and his career has been one crappy opponent after another ever since. He can talk all he wants about wanting to fight this guy and that guy, his actions and resume speak for themselves.Comment
