Canelo Alvarez says his desire to create history is the driving force that keeps him striving for greatness as he prepares to defend his WBC, WBA Super and Ring Magazine World Super-Middleweight titles against Avni Yildirim at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, on Saturday February 27, live worldwide on DAZN (except Mexico) with tickets on sale with Ticketmaster.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that he said the same thing at 160 when Andrade had that last belt then proceeded to move up, skip his Mexican independence date, & fight Kovalev in a fight nobody asked for!

What a bunch of idiots. Lol. How do you forget facts?

DAZN didn’t approve Andrade for 2019 Q4 as “premier” opponent, meaning he wasn’t getting $34 mil for it, only $17mil. The Athletic disclosed that. Second, Canelo was stripped the IBF as it went to GGG vs Devry. That predates the Kovalev fight. Since Matchroom, DAZN, GBP roadblocked Andrade for Canelo he was pressure by media and fans to do the GGG fight. Why do you think Team Canelo were fed up with Oscar’s excuses for all these mishaps at DAZN? It’s like cakewalk schooling you dummies. Just a fresh reminder that Canelo is the HNIC!

Derp derp derp. You need 4 belts for Undisputed. I just gave you the reasons why Middleweight was disrupted

Unifying in one of the most weakest divisions isn't that big a feat. Especially since the last guy had a short camp and even with a proper camp he still would of lost as he should of his last fight.

Some people just live to make excuses and will never give credit to boxers they don't like.

Are they excuses or facts? Is 168 one of the best divisions? Did smith not deserve to lose against ryder? Try to look at it from a nonbiased perspective instead of the fangirl perspective your used to

Well BJS and Plant are ideally more skilled than Indongo...

Not the best nor is it the worst. Unifying it is still quite the accomplishment no matter how you downplay it. Beni, Plant, Jacobs and Saunders SMW is hardly a dead division. Smith probably got a gift but was still a champion and an accomplished boxer. For the attributes he held over Canelo he was risky. Saunders is also risky as is Plant. Take your own advice and look at from an unbiased perspective.

Can’t argue w the facts. Canelo has done a good job of fighting the too names. I will take him at his word and we will see what he does at 168. He’s def on the right track.
