Time will tell! Vergil is not on the level of Ryan Garcia, but I think a KO victory over Hooker will put him much closer!

Orozco had fought once at Welter before he fought Ortiz and Solomon and Vargas had fought as high as 154 so what are you talking about. Do you mean Maurice Hooker going to Mexico to face former 126 lb champ Cristobal Cruz at 147 and still going to distance after robbing Perez in his previous fight.
Crawford started his career at 135. Claiming he only fights smaller fighters is a lie.

Gamboa started his career at 126 didn't he? Til this day he is still Crawfords toughest fight.

You're right at the moment given their best wins but he's one fight away really. Campbell is the only win that beats Vergil's record. Honestly I think if Vergil KOs Hooker, put him in with someone like Garcia and Garcia would have a hard time not getting KOd. I like Garcia but I think Ortiz represents the best of the new generation of boxers who is just improving and is getting more vicious and refined under Robert Garcia. If Ryan thought Campbell hits hard, Ortiz would knock him into the post-COVID world with a solid shot.

Why chase Josh Kelly? He is'nt a big name. If he beat Hooker convincely then he should target the like of Danny Garcia, Mikey Garcia or the winner of Taylor vs Ramirez...

The Gamboa fight was 7 years ago. Did Crawford stop fighting after that? Not the last time I checked.
