  • Comments Thread For: Demetrius Andrade Not Impressed: Canelo is Not Pound-For-Pound Best!

WBO middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade is far from impressed with the recent run of wins by Mexican superstar Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez. Canelo is back on February 27th, when he defends his WBC, WBA super middleweight titles against mandatory challenger Avni Yildirim at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.

Ofcourse he doesn’t “want” to admit canelo is best because he’s black and we all know bruthas only want Bruthas to be considered the “best”.

Unfortunately for Andrade canelo is the p4p best they’re is not debating that.

You don’t hear white fighters with such hate most admit canelo is king it’s mostly the black folks that can’t stand it.

Let's be honest, if Canelo fought Andrade...it would be viewed as a carefully picked opponent with a title.

Dear Demetrius, i kindly request you to change your style of boxing from boring to action pack so that fans will come to see your fight and other notable opposition wont drive away of facing you. First check yourself before judging Canelo...

Compare Canelos resume over the last 10 years with Andrade's; 'nuff said.

                  You want proof.

Just go look up the countless videos by guys like ellerbe, Floyd, Andrade, charlo etc that have said such. Yea you’ll find a few being honest like Tank who admit canelo is the best today but most don’t want to plain and simple.

Let me ask you do you acknowledge that Canelo is p4p #1?

I don’t think Andrade’s that type of person with the race card narrative like the Haymonites. He just hasn’t made the big paydays with him so many years dedicated to the sport. He’s just had bad managerial situations.

The truth is if you’re a fighter that can picture how to beat Canelo then you only do a few things to gain points and hope it was enough to win the round... assume that’s for more foot driven fighters whom prefer to be safe out of range, like Lara. GGG on the hand, he had to throw a 1000 jabs to look busy and out work, but didn’t throw any power punches to risk range. GGg is a master prober and he can push some fighters back to the ropes to get his shots he wants. The problem with Canelo is that he couldn’t time and bait GGG as effectively as he wanted. Walking back helps reset range, so Canelo had to play chess with GGG’s long jab vs his counter punches at the ropes.

With all that being said, Andrade doesn’t fight like GGg and could get clipped badly making a mistake, so I imagine he does the Lara style and hope that fans just instigate his performance as a win. He wants that payday
