Andrade is whack! If you are having trouble with sleep just watch Andrade fight.

I've never seen or heard anyone say this but you. How is that possible when most people think Canelo won't even fight him. Last time I checked Andrade started in the same division as Canelo & has been an undefeated champion in the two different divisions they've been in together. This would only be true if Andrade showed major vulnerability then Canelo wanted to fight him. I.e. Callum, BJS.
Aside from the fact the 1st part you said is a lie. Why do "boxing fans" criticize guys who literally can't get fights with guys they're supposed to, while praising those for having the option to pick & choose? Also there's a difference between top guys & top names.Comment

valid point about The Who has he fought argument “fans” like to use. Not to mention, that argument also ignores the fact that certain boxers are fortunate enough to have greater opportunities available to themselves. Canelo has been fortunate enough that being a Mexican with a unique look has granted him a platform that gave him greater exposure than most since he was a teenager. He had entitlement that others didn’t. So him being able to land fights vs a Mosley, mayweather, cotto, ggg aren’t options available to most.We all know that Canelo performs the poorest against slick stylists....Trout, Lara, Mayweather....it’s no surprise that he doesn’t want to and probably never will fight Andrade.
And one thing I never get involved with is the “who has he fought” arguments that partisan “fans” get up to. That isn’t an effective barrier to someone getting a fight when the people who have gotten shots are themselves low level domestic type fighters. It’s strictly used by partisan “fans.”
Having watched this sport since the 70s, I have seen many a lowly regarded or inexperienced contender beat a higher regarded one or a champion based on style matchup, based on who was the more focused man that night, or simply who proved to be the superior fighter.
There was a man called Clay who fought a man called Liston and everyone expected Liston to wipe the floor with Clay.....Clay owned him twice. Had there been the internet back in the early 60s, surely there would have been casuals ranting about “who had Clay fought???”Last edited by Jab jab boom; 02-17-2021, 09:08 AM.Comment

The only fight I want to see at 175 is Bivol vs Beterbiev. If they can't do that then I'd like to see Bivol take on someone in the top 5 at 168to make himself relevant and if possible mandatory. Then he can get the Canelo fight. But Bivol is big, he'd probably be weakened at 168.To be fair, Canelo beat Golovkin in a close rematch with a masterful strategy of backing up the aggressor.
On the other side of the debate, yes, Kovalev is faded and Smith wouldn't beat Benavidez or Plant probably.
I think a guy like Bivol would be the toughest challenge, he has more boxing skill than Charlo and Plant and has some power. Bivol could get down to super middle as well, although if that would weaken him badly I don't know.Comment

Is he the biggest draw? Do his fights produce largest gate? Is he the most watched? Certainly if that were the case dayzin would have been happy paying him 30+m a pop to take on domestic British level fighters and wouldn’t need to move to PPV to pay for his fights.
The **** minister of Propaganda Dr. Josef Goebels stated the following:
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”Comment
