Lol. So let’s flex your logic with chronological order! So Canelo “requested Yildirim” way back in Q3 2020 when he wasn’t even listed under the WBC at 168? So aside from this infamous “request,” Canelo gets Smith out of the way to fulfill this infamous “request” because it was what Canelo wanted!? LMAO

Avni Yildirim's manager Ahmet Oner has revealed they've contacted Al Haymon who will conduct negotiations for the ordered Canelo fight. It's been reported DAZN won't approve the bout, but Oner has claimed they'll go to purse bids and try to secure it for Showtime. [@BILD]

I come to the realization that the real reason why fans hate Canelo is because of his complexion and nationality. For some it’s the worst combination. If Canelo were British or American but with Mexican descent it’d be perfectly fine. I guess there’s some animosity for Third Workd Mexico in general. I usually see cartel or taco jokes which I myself make..

The truth is the news from Haymon making Yildirim vs Canelo was when cinnamon was still with GBP. Matchroom was roadblockiny Smith for GBP since it was competitive portfolio and Hearn was exploiting the fallout at DAZN for his own gain. The only way GBP could get to Smith was to get the WBC rule out of the way and fight Yildirim which was presented as options. Why wouldn’t team Canelo take this fight if it was a path to Smith while Canelo complained he didn’t have any dates made by GBP.

These agendas against Canelo don’t work because he’s a good guy.

Canelo fans arent like PBC Haymonite kids Pom Poming for Spence vs Ugas or Wilder vs Breazeale or Fury vs Wallin or Schwartz. The context from all those fight fan discussions is to instigate better fights for the fighters you root for, meaning, “oh I cant wait for...!”

You must have me confused with your family whom are huge Canelo fans. Nobody on the forum is hyping this fight, nor have I, nor have I nor anyone else said this was a good fight. Lol.
