  • Comments Thread For: Canelo: I'm Not Underestimating Yildirim, One Punch Can Change Everything

Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo'' Alvarez feels superior to Avni Yildirm. That doesn't mean, however, that he's not taking the upcoming contest seriously. Canelo will defend his WBC, WBA super middleweight titles against the Turkish challenger on February 27 at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium.

Canelo is always respectful ans he is right to train hard for every fight. But this is just part for the course of his level of opposition since moving from HBO/Showtime to Dayzin. Gone are the fights with GGG, Trout, Mayweather, Cotto, Lara, etc etc where fans had to wonder who would win and still debate judges decisions such as Lara and Trout....Yildirim, Smith, Fielding, shot Kovalev who went from killing opponents to feather fist punches just don’t excite anyone but the canelo***uals

This is true, cinnamon. What u fail to mention is that u beat the hell out of way better fighters than Yildirim everyday in sparring. So this isn't even a sparring session for you. Its a money grab, just like so many of your other fights. Who are you fooling, son?

Spoken like a champ. Every opponent is a threat no matter how inferior they are. Underestimating them just makes them more of a threat. Exactly the reason why Canelo is where he is at and everybody else is waiting their turn to test him.

You guys post fake rhetorical questions about Yildirim. Back in August Yildirim vs Canelo is what Haymon wanted. LDBC kids like OldskoolG don’t want fans to know that it is Haymon that guided Yildirim his position to fight for the title or else the WBC would get sued by Haymon Sports. Yildirim agreed to step aside for Benavidez vs Dirrell. Then Benavidez fought Angulo. Yildirim’s patience was long overdue and Haymon being his advisor had to show something. So Canelo fights the WBC Champion is now fulfilling Haymon’s gay request which at least gives Canelo the ability to stat active or else he gets stripped.

This was all reported by boxingscene.

Cheatballls begged the WBC last year to make this ******* a mandatory and of course they're so far up his ass they did it. Remember? Canelo begged for this fight and almost got it last year until people complained.

No. Its what Canelo wanted. They're not going to strip him. Stop the B.S.

Lol. So let’s flex your logic with chronological order! So Canelo “requested Yildirim” way back in Q3 2020 when he wasn’t even listed under the WBC at 168? So aside from this infamous “request,” Canelo gets Smith out of the way to fulfill this infamous “request” because it was what Canelo wanted!? LMAO
