I never said you couldn’t criticize him do as you may. Canelo is the star of the show and he will be around for another 6-7 years God willing. You criticize the guy willing to move up in weight to fight the number one p4p fighter and former light heavyweight champion... and don’t criticize the guy entertaining a fight against a 40 year old from a lower weight division.

Ppl tend to focus on actions rather than words man we learned that lesson from ggg signing checks with zero funds. If Canelo is willing to work ggg in his busy schedule of fighting back to back 3-5 top number one rated oponnents in less than 12 months God Bless him for setting the example that boxing so desperately needed

problem for GGG is that once he started to face an elite, he got his azz handed to him each time.

So now hes trying to minimise the damage by facing the SAME elite. That way he can claim only one guy beat him. WHereas if he chased other world class fighters or above, the mask will drop and he will pick up defeats to multiple guys.

difference being this....plain and simple

one guy has belts from 154-175 and already has a HOF resume at age 30...the other guy is whatever, basically 40....and aside from teh canelo fights doesnt have alot to show for anything besides some glossy record of knocking out guys like curtis stevens

canelo hasnt spend the prime of his career chasing golovkin...it was golovkin spending his prime chasing canelo

the main issue is this...golovkin is still in "play it safe" mode hoping for one more canelo payday....canelo could really care less about golovkin....golovkin is tailoring his entire schedule, trying to avoid risky fights, to get one more crack....
