A. Skills. Heart. Desire. The man always came to fight! Never a sandbagger. Never a cheap shot artist. Took on everyone. Maybe fought a bit too long and I would’ve advised him against those immediate rematches w Vernon and Winky but that speaks to his heart and desire. SSM. We need more fighters like him today.
Grade a fighter day 13: What grade do you give Shane Mosley?

I’m sold. Change my Vote to A+I’m going to post in this one because I’m already offended lol.
A+ without question.
Oscar De La Hoya was only the third man to go the distance with Shane Mosley and that was Mosley’s 35th professional fight.
He moved up two weight classes to beat De La Hoya.
He was a 7 year pro at that point who was an absolute monster at 135.
He fought De La Hoya in 2000.
From 2000-2010, the only men to beat him were Vernon Forrest, Winky Wright, Miguel Cotto and Floyd Mayweather. That’s after being a 17 year pro who started out as a lightweight!
Mosley was the IBF champ and an undefeated monster at 135. He was a two time lineal champ at 147 and a lineal champ at 154.
He was formerly the number one P4P fighter.
If he doesn’t get an A+, A+’s don’t exist.
People just ignore the first 34 fights of his career for some reason and judge him for losing to absolute legends a million miles away from his first weight class.
He’s the exact reason why no one will take a risk anymore.
He fought everyone. Any weight, any time.
Shane Mosley would have retired 75-0 if he came up in this generation.
If you don’t give Shane Mosley and A+, this grading system is wrong.
I gave him a B+ because those losses were bad. He lost twice to Wright and twice to Forrest R.I.P
Those losses in addition to Cotto and Mayweather had initially dropped him from A+ to me.
Also I have him clearly losing to Hoya in the second fight.
He started at 135, had he been a force at 154 he’d get the A+ nod.
But at 135 he’s up there with Duran.Comment

I rate Mosely at least a solid A. My only complaint about him is I feel like he had no business losing to Forrest. I guess Vernon just had his number but Mosely was the way bigger star and had better credentials so I've always felt Mosely should have won that one. He probably fought too long but he did me real proud when he almost knocked Mayweather's eyebrows offComment
