lol, i love the people that are like.. "oh, all of a sudden wright wants a rematch".. so gullible.. Wright spoke after the first fight out of frustration, he's always wanted the rematch

While I agree wholeheartedly a rematch must happen, questions are always going to be left unanswered in boxing.

Sugar Ray Leonard vs. Marvin Hagler...a rematch should have happened, right? Too close and too controverisal, but Hagler was demoralized and probably thought there was no way he could get a decision in a rematch...(This sums up alot of what Winky was thinking June 17; that and this "I clearly won this fight and the judges gave him a huge break AGAIN. To beat Taylor on the scorecards I have to win at least 10 rounds clearly next time because I can't knock him out, and I'm only getting older."
Hagler would probably echo these sentiments, except the "can't knock him out" part, but Ray wasn't nearly as easy to hit as Taylor is...

Roy Jones vs. Bernard Hopkins...we never got the epic rematch in 2002 that we should have...thanks guys.

Roy Jones vs. anyone of the top guys from Europe or Gerald McClellan...this is a can of worms that I'm not going to open.

Floyd Mayweather vs. Ricky Hatton (at 140), again, boxing history will not have this fight on file (if it happens, it will have to be at welterweight apparently)...

And these are just recent examples...the worst thing about boxing is the inability for some of these huge fights or rematches to come off...

LOL now he wants it. He knows he didn't win the first fight or he would have demanded an immediate rematch. I am so sick of this crybaby and wouldn't care if Taylor said to hell with him. Wright didn't want it in June but now in August he does?

Team Taylor has not announced any fights...the Ouma fight isn't a done deal as far as I know. If you have a press release or news source, feel free to lead me there. I realize that may be only because they may be trying to move the date so they don't have to do a split doubleheader with Hatton, but still, nothing is official.

Klitschko-Briggs sure seeemed a done deal. As did Spinks-Mayweather. This stuff happens. Team Wladdy booted Briggs to get Maskaev in there, so what's wrong with Team Winky trying to make big mega PPV fight between Wright and Taylor instead of seeing Winky-Quartey and Taylor-Ouma on consecutive weeks?

I do, however, have a problem with Golden Boy trying to "buy" the rights to Taylor so they can stage the PPV, and yes, they are doing it at the very last minute after DiBella has gone through negotiations with Mora and Lorenzo and now Ouma, but wouldn't getting this fight made be better than Wright-Quartey and Taylor-Ouma? There's no guarantee we'll ever see this rematch.
