I'd like to see a rematch for sure. Hopefully it happens after Winky fussed about the draw.

After the fight, when interviewed, Winky said he was NOT interested in a rematch. Now he says he wants one? Well, tell you what, buddy, how about you make up your mind and get back to us then?

Also, I thought Winky lost that fight 7 rounds to 5 but it was a close fight and I do agree with the draw. However, Stinky Wright blew his chance at an immediate rematch because Taylor said he wanted one to prove he won and Stinky hid behind "everyone saw me win so why should I fight him again?" statement.

Was it just me or did the first fight seem incredibly boring?

Its the only fight in years I actually just stopped watching halfway through. Partially because I knew the outcome, but still.

He wants the rematch now becuase Taylor has already set up a fight for this year and the Wright camp knows they wont take it.
Who offers a fight to someone after they have already announced a big fight????

De La Hoya offers 6 Million to Taylor for Rematch with Winky

According to a report out by Ron Borges of the Boston Globe, De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions, representing Winky Wright, have made a substantial offer to DiBella Inc of $6 million dollars for a December rematch with the middleweight champion, Jermain Taylor.

At this time Team Taylor is not interested in facing Winky this year again. Taylor's team did however leave the door open for a possible rematch in April 2007.

Further the report by The Boston Globe indicates that Taylor will be back in action on either Nov. 25 or Dec. 2 of this year in his hometown of Little Rock, Arkansa. The opponent's name being kicked around is against former junior middleweight champion Kassim Ouma.

the re-match has to happend in order for boxing to be historically complete. that being said i cant wait till the day when they step in the ring against each other again.

I actully thought it was very exciting.
Lots of punches thrown, back and forth rounds, extremly close fight.
But i can understand how you would find it boring knowing about the Draw.

I agree that it was fairly exciting (especially for a Winky fight). However, I don't think there should be a 2nd fight. Taylor is getting better by the fight and would give Winky more than he could handle. Winky had a shot the first fight, but I think it would be a much more decisive win for JT next time.
