I believe he won that fight by a close margin, but he barely squeaked by. Diaz better not lose that motivation that he had before. He had many distractions coming into this bout.Comment

I'm not a fan of Diaz, but i honestly had him winning 8 to 4. Rakhimov simply wasn't busy enough in the second half to deserve a draw.Comment

Makes PERFECT sense. That doesn't make much sense. His punishment for not making weight was losing his title. That's more than enough, so why should he just accept any decision on top of that? It was a close and competitive fight, but I agree with Diaz that he should have gotten the nod; by 7-5 rds or 8-4. Rakhimov was game and aggressive, but a lot of his flash punches were being completely blocked by Diaz' high guard. Jojo repeatedly blocked 3 and 4 punch combinations and landed clean back, so not sure at all what guys like Chris Mannix were seeing.
Cheating and losing a title for it should not be enough. If anything that in other sports would be a DQ.
You need me explain what a DQ means??? Or is???

I get what your saying. I do. But Diaz has made it sound like he was robbed of both his victory and put in a position where it was unfair for him to make weight. Forget his opponent made the scales work in the exact same conditions, and that his opponent was more active than him in the fight. The first thing out of fighters camp after an embarrassing showing like that (being 4 pounds over the limit, not his ring effort which was legit) should have been personal responsibility for not making things right. I am shocked that an established and respected fighter like him is full is excuses and finger pointing. That doesn't make much sense. His punishment for not making weight was losing his title. That's more than enough, so why should he just accept any decision on top of that? It was a close and competitive fight, but I agree with Diaz that he should have gotten the nod; by 7-5 rds or 8-4. You are right though. One is seperate from the other. The fight was allowed to go on and Rakhimov still had a chance to win a title Diaz did not. The punishment had already been given and Diaz has the absolute right to dispute the fight judging. Just rubbs me the wrong way.
Love your signature by the way, Nacho.Comment
