Why is there a rematch for Warrington/Lara?

This wasn't a title fight. This was a tune up gone wrong. Now Lara has to wait on Warrington instead of being able to capitalize off his win.

I understand it for a voluntary title fight but for a tune up?

It's not a title fight so now Lara can't capitalize off his win. He has to wait on Warrington.

Wasn't the fight originally for a title though, before Warrington dropped it? Maybe the contract wasn't updated or something? Warrington is definitely gonna need time to recover from the beating, so I think he should let Lara move on. If he takes another KO loss to Lara, it could derail him permanently.

It’s in the contract so can’t do F about it now.

It was never approved for a title fight. Warrington would've gotten stripped if he didn't drop the belt he just dropped it before they could strip him

The rematch will sell well in the UK, thus Lara will be compensated well.
Titles are meaningless if they don't go with the money.
Isn't that what you people been preaching all these years?
Nah. You're just assuming Warrington will beat him in the rematch
which is the point of this thread.
