I don't get the people who are siding with him, it's all about basic economics. Am hearing that the money on offer for this fight is more than his minimum. So he had issues with the Loma fight over money, and now this.

Like you said he needs to build his brand, he is on the way there but he isn't there yet. If he thinks Matchroom, GBP or PBC would put their money in him then he must be having a laugh.

Once Jermall moves up to 168 and mixes it up with Plant, Benevidez, Jacobs, David Morell, then the 154s like Jermell, Hurd, Harrison, Lara, Williams will move up to 160 to get it in with korobov, Sergiy and the other MWs. That way you can now feature Sebastian Fundora and Joey Spencer at 154 while also moving Spence, D Garcia, Crawford (who will be with PBC by then), Thurman, Porter and Ugas up to JMW. Then you can feature Boots Ennis and Vito Meilnicki while still having Mikey Garcia, Omar Figuero jr, Paq, Josesito Lopez and Lippinets at 147. 140 will be just fine with Broner, Barthelemy, Barrios, Cowboy Karl, Prograis, and Robert Easter jr. 135 has Rolly, Fortuna, (Devin will be back before 2022), Redkach, "El Charro", Carlos Balderos and others but TR has 135 on lock! 130 is stacked with Tank leading the way and Chris Colbert not far behind. Also at 130 look out for Issac "pitbull" Gonzalez he's going to be a terror. 126 has a big fight being ordered by the WBC with GRJ v Ray flores. Then finally a unification fight between GRJ and Leo and maybe undisputed if Kid Galahad gets his hands on the IBF. King Tug and Abner Mares are still around too. 118-122 is very stacked over there with veterans like Nonito and Rigondeaux and upcomers like Daniel Roman, Brandon Figueroa, Luis Nery and Stephen Fulton. It would be real fun to watch 118-135 at TR and PBC go at it because they both have a lot of fighters over there. Shyte Im willing to bet anyone that a non title HW clash between Wilder v Ruiz PPV will generate a shyte load more revenue than a Fury v AJ fight in America. No network has a more promising future than PBC. No one!
Thank you for the reminder of how many crappy fighters pbc actually has.

He seems really happy with those locked in fighters that will never be allowed outside of PBC besides the occasional strap collection with their strapless fighters.

          How hilarious is this situation?

Top Rank goes out of their way to guarentee Lomachenko loses against Lopez via wide cards so they can have their next young superstar.

For those who don't think so was 119-111 was fair? Any objective boxing fan who actually scores fights could only see it two ways. 7-5 Lopez or 6-6 draw. Don't be a fuxkng scrub.

Then "superstar" bites the hand that feeds them. What did Bob ****ing think was gonna happen?

          Too freaking funny.

If Lopez wants money the best fight available to him is a Lomachenko rematch. If he thought it was so easy the first time might as well win a clean dominant decision or KO this time.

But thats what i don't understand about these boxers. If money is your main motivator then why not fight the guys who will net you the most money instead of whining about who's not fighting who and about how much you think you're worth? Especially if you think it was EASY.

You are absolutely correct. I wasn't trying to diminish the kid's ring achievements by saying he couldn't fight. I was very happy when he defeated The 'Matrix' Vasyl Lomachenko.

However, all I was saying is that it doesn't necessarily translate into having a larger fan base or a greater market value. It takes time. He is yet in the developmental stages of his young career.

He needs more big wins and exposure in order to get crossover mainstream fans to notice him.

It seems like the only positive to come out of this pandemic is that fighters and their unreasonable purse demands are slowly being brought back down to reality as for their value/return. As an investment I agree with what bob here is doing, especially a mandatory against kambosos. Hes going to let the current market set the value cause hes fully aware anything more than the minimum for teo is most likely a loss for Top Rank or any other promotional outfit for that matter. Since hes tied to TR contractual, what other promoter is willling to take a loss on a one off fight on their platform for very little in return?? I'd say maybe Dazn but i guarantee they're not going to bid much more than Teos minimum knowing TR stance. Teos a great fighter but guy has become insufferable of late...
