          didn't roy say his next fight was going to be a big name....calzaghe,johnson,tarver,hopkins.....what is this? manfredo jr, is good but not an elite fighter as roy has said he would face....just like someone said above....oh how the mighty have fallen?

              Actually he said he need a couple more fights and then he'd be ready for the big fight. To paraphrase, he's getting ready for the last big fight of his career by fighting lesser, tune-up opponents.

                Pls dont tell me that Peter Manfredo is an elite fighter because of the CONTENDER.

                HOWEVER...I wont count Manfredo out. This is a done ROY were dealing with.

                  Manfredo would just need to touch that chin, plus Roy moving down to super middleweight puts him at a disadvantage.

                    Good for Roy, he's not being overly confident and ambitious. Taking on 'lesser' fighters for now is a smart move; taking it fight by fight.
