Roy Jones, Jr. Targets Peter Manfredo

manfredo can beat roy if he applys hard pressure and is very active. peter is bigger and has good skills, roy is most definately a more natural athlete, but now in the twilight of his career fighting someone who is hungry is dangerous. roys last fight was one of those confidence builders, at this point with manfredo coming up with his momentum and confidence with roach in his corner, he could certainly beat roy at this stage in his career.

a prime manfredo verses a prime jones, well duh, no ****ing way, but at this point in both of their careers manfredo with the right kind of game plan can beat roy jones.

jones can be easily walked down, he can be out worked, and he can be KO'd with a single shot. roy's margin of error is extremely thin compared to how it used be. it used to be as big as the grand canyon, now it's pencil thin against even the most average puncher.

pressure, cutting off the ring, a good jab, a good body attack, and keeping you head in jones's chest, are the basics to beating an old and aging roy.

if this is true, I feel Roy Jones is pathetic. His ego is out of control. Why fight? This is nothing against Manfredo, but Jones doesn't need this type of fight.Maybe he can fight Jeremy Bates after this?

I really think Roy is just heading towards whoever has the light heavyweight championships at the time he happens to get finished with this little respite he's taking now. That will probably mean a rematch with Glen Johnson. So really, all a Manfredo fight would be is a decent pay day for Manfredo.

ive seen manfredo fight plenty of times and prince badi, ya know the guy roy destroyed , would of knocked out manfredo easy, he would of killed mora too. Roy is by no means in his prime but he is still quicker than floyd mayweather , and ive seen every mayweather fight and every jones fight, trust me, floyd has nothing on roys combinations. When roy started to worry about a punch, he got ko'ed, all he has to do is not worry about it. He will eat manfredo up. The contender guys sayed mora won because of the better boxing and speed. Theres no better BOXER or faster hands than Roy jones jr. 20 years old or 40.
