Hey Bread. You may know a lot about boxing but you don't take into account the culture, traditions, ethnic styles which are important. The only reason Canelo lost vs Floyd was because he was not used to fight " slick " boxers. Black slick boxers don´t exist in Mexico and that style is not liked. So Canelo was surprised and didn´t know what to do. Canelo said that Floyd had no power, was never hurt at any point and that FLoyd fights like an Olympic boxer, just potshotting, hugging, and running. He was also weight drained and used Floyd´s gloves. Floyd didn´t want a rematch vs Canelo. Floyd also ducked fighters that throw many punches like Margarito, Williams, GGG, etc. and fighters that were athletic like Sergio Martinez, Khan, etc. If referees start deducting points to slick boxers for hugging, not fighting ( running ), boxing would be much better.

well the point of my post is the person I sent it to has been on record saying “plant sucks” and here said we need a reynoso mailbag. So I took the opportunity to show him that reynoso actually disagrees with his assessment and agrees with bread. Now to your point, yes plant lacks power but that’s what people said about mayweather, ward and Calzaghe too yet none of those three lost a single fight. I’m not saying plant is on their level at all, but the overall point is whether plant has a style to cause canelo problems despite a lack of power and many believe he can.Comment

I said it once and I’ll say it again, plant is garbage for a champ. He will get beat soon as he fights Benavidez or Canelo and they will have 0 problems doing it. Plant will look cute for a few early rounds, but sooner or later David and Canelo will catch him then it’s zzzzzzzzzzz timeComment

don’t try to backtrack now because I exposed you being hypocritical. You have flat out said before “plant is trash”. But now that I showed you reynoso’s post, and you’re like, ohhh yeah he’s excellent but trash for a champion. What a dummy. Either you’re an excellent boxer or you’re not. Belts have nothing to do with it. If plant is trash for a champion as you say, then what does that make Callum smith who has less boxing skills than plant? Or Liam smith? Or Rocky fielding? Or this Yidilgrim guy? They all have less skills than plant. Plant actually has better movement, faster hands, a better jab than all of them. So if plant is trash and canelo wants to fight him and faced guys with less skills than him, then I guess you’re saying that canelo has been targeting mostly trash fighters , right??Comment

Don’t out too much weight onto trainers calling fighters good boxers, at the end of the day trainers get paid by boxers so they can potentially earn a check from any boxer if not now in the future. I rarely see a trainer call a fighter trash, but always see them praise boxers and it goes back to this very same reason that they can earn money with said boxer at some point... but plant is trash for a champ... and when he steps up he will be exposed as that... a garbage champComment
