We're talking about skill level, not height and weight. To shrink the taller fighters down, it would create a completely different fighter to the ones we have, and have had. The same applies to the smaller fighters. Making them bigger changes their styles so much that they would be unrecognisable.

Holyfield did get into wars, but i wouldn't call him a punch bag. he was just smaller than many out there. But he had more skill than Ali and Frazier combined. He achieved more than they did. Although he was a prolific drug cheat so it really doesn't count.
Floyd Patterson was finished by that point. Plus, he never beat a single good fighter when he was in his prime. The same with Cleveland. The dude wasn't the same after the shooting incident. After losing badly against Ali, he retired. He came back after that, but got knocked out against nobodies.

Any good fighters they had were brushed aside pretty quickly. Check out all the era's starting from the beginning and see how tragic they are. Tyson beat his opponents regardless of size due to being better. That's how it works. Not every fighter his size is going to have the same kind of success. Same goes for taller and bigger fighters. Ruiz beat AJ the first time round because AJ went in for the finish after dropping him square on and swinging hooks with all his weight shifting against a smaller target with faster hands. That's why tall fighters should never do that. The same with throwing too far out of range like Lewis did with McCall because the smaller just needs to half strep in with an over right hand and not have to worry about what's coming back because nothing is going to land. Taller fighters must always control distance and never get involved on the inside unless the shots are timed and using your defence.
Ruiz comes nowhere near to AJ in skills. That's delusional. A mistake doesn't make Ruiz into something he's not. The same with AJ. A mistake doesn't change your abilities. Just make sure to keep the mistakes to a minimum and not be in dangerous positions like he did. Look what happened when he focused in the rematch and knew what he needed to do.
