2 yrs out could not even spar, major surgeries , poor form and nearly stopped by a B grade guy, its impossible for him to be prime with that preparation.
Pac still would've had his number. Styles makes fights

When? He fought him x4 times.

Marquez had to be prime between the first two fights.

If not when was Marquez prime?

hmmmmmm thats a squeeze, Thurman was broken and got a SD, go back to when Thurman beat Danny and Porter and you got a different guy, not saying youre wrong but its a stretch in my mind.

            Barrera and Marquez

Thurman and Bradley were prime and undefeated

Thurman can be argued against but we can also identify him through his next fight.

People get mistaken between young-hungry and prime. Jones got the former Barrera , Pacquiao caught the latter Barrera.

I agree lots of C-B level guys were prime in the early part same for Floyd, the thread should be what elite prime guys did Manny fight that narrows the field way down.

Well why don’t you define your interpretation of “Prime” first? Can one fighter have a longer prime than another? What’s Manny prime? If Tyson’s prime was when he was just 20? Is that everyone else’s fault who fought him after? Cause isn’t then an anomaly? Or does prime mean your best year? Or your best potential physical condition crossed with experience? Can you waste your prime? Or maybe you just fight harder fights at some point? If everyone has a prime of say 2-3 years then how hard is it to get two fighters to meet both in their prime? That’s like 2-5 fights max in that period. How do you explain one guy being in their prime at say 25 and another at 30? Shouldn’t most humans be at their potential physical best around the same age?

Excuses excuses. You might as well put up the picture of his purple arm again.

Clottey is another prime, a highly underrated elite

He’s the Porter of 2000s. Had close but debatable loses against Cotto and Margarito.

He made the B+ Judah (according to NSB poll) look silly in the ring.
