Does anyone remember the insane hype surrounding Tyson vs Holyfield rematch?

The buildup of the Tyson Holyfield rematch was incredible.

Everyone was talking about Tyson coming back as the iron Mike of old in the rematch and Holyfield was going to get a beating.

There were even bums and crack fiends on the corners talking about the rematch. Most of them were picking Tyson to win by knockout.

Rival gang ****ers put down their glocks and made peace just to watch the fight together even if it was for just one night.

Even at church, the pastor spoke a few words to the members on what he thought of the fight and said that as long as Holyfield has God on his side, he cannot lose. All of the members in the audience rose to their feet and started clapping and cheering.

All of the new stations were even counting down on the big fight.

At the time, I had no idea what was going to happen, but I just knew that it was going to be all over after the fight and no doubt would be left.

And you can't forget about the confusion and controversy after the fight. The atmosphere was crazy. People just didn't know what happened and why he would bite Holyfield. The next morning literally everyone was talking about it.

Just a lot of confusion and people trying to make sense of it all.

No one will ever forget that night, but no one wanted to end like that. A damn shame.

From memory, didn’t the buildup begin just before Tyson v Ruddock?

          Funny thing is-

Even if they fought for a third time at this age-

every one I know would watch it, they would make a lot of money.

The fight would of been one of the greatest fights in history, if it did not end so badly.

The conditioning of both fighters was immense, both of them weighing in at 218 pounds 'Just look their body movements, and pace in the opening rounds' They were fighting like big middleweights.

Where as now in heavyweight fights, the processing speed of the fighters seems slower along with their actual physical speed etc.

Note: Richie Giachetti always worked well with Mike Tyson 'Tyson was always in great physical condition, under his tutorship.

Yeah, it was talked about everywhere.

              It was on DAZN, too.
