If Lara and Trout’s power was enough to keep Canelo off him than plants will be. Plant has quick feet while Canelo tends to fight flat footed.

Caleb has been way more active and has put together a decent win streak.

Why would caleb fight benvidez? no one really knows who benavidez is.

Why? Because they both have bad blood toward each other... but Caleb would be wise to stay away from Benavidez if he is able to land canelo in September... if no Canelo the. He needs to fight David next or else that’s a straight duck

Caleb Plant is not tight enough with his offense or defense to beat Canelo. A faster fighter with a good offense is going to land on Plant at will.

Plant has been getting by because he is faster than the slow opposition he has gone against. He sure as hell not faster then Canelo.

I just see Plant getting beat to the punch everytime and quite possible getting hit with some combos because he has some obvious defensive bad habits. One of the biggest bad habits is that he overdoes everything defensively. He is going to gas himself out when he could be moving less.

Also he is susceptible to being timed with a big shot. Mainly because he does not have a tight guard especially when throwing. That rear hand sits a little low and that head does not change position. He would need to change those and I am afraid at this point they are bad habits that are going to be hard to break.

I don't think he "Lacks Power" he just doesn't "Plant" his Feet long enough sometimes to generate Power. He is always kind of going backwards and looking to bail out and reset...


Plant is actually even better when he does coming forward and let those fast hands fly



but I think he knows his stamina is Shaky so what he does is Reset a lot and slow down and start to become hesitant and do a lot of flinch to conserve stamina sometimes


Plant is a Solid Fighter, I just don't think stylistically he can get a win over Canelo especially fighting with any hesitation and fighting in spurts to conserve Stamina

I agree with most of what Shawn says, but the power part

punchers are born not made, unless you use some of that Canelo juice that he and others have gotten a pass on! Many of you know who you are; yes calling the cheaters out!
