Andre Ward vs Caleb Plant @ 175

June will mark 4 years since Ward's last fight. Ward and Plant are both undefeated. Ward was a champion at both 168 and 175, while Plant is a champ at 168 and has never fought at 175.

Plant is younger, has a 1 inch height advantage, his wingspan is 3 inches longer than Ward, and he has been active. While Ward of course has a much better resume and accomplishments and became a first ballot hall of famer only 3 years after he retired.

If Ward fought Plant at Light Heavyweight after a 4 year lay off, who would win?

I'm a Plant fan by all means but Ward would beat him 99 times out of 100 right now

Why are we talking Ward-Plant instead of Ward-Canelo????

Fight makes literally no sense. Why would ward come out of retirement to fight Caleb Plant? Where is the money on that fight?

Some of you posters on here literally lack common sense. Now if Plant beats Canelo, maybe then could we entertain this conversation. But Plant would have to get through Benavidez.

Hoo, that’s a fight I would love to see. Canelo is at his peak right now and that fight is hard to call. 2 years ago I would’ve say Ward 10 out of 10 times.

Two fighters with an insane ring IQ, but Ward is actually the one guy who could actually use his physicality and size against Canelo. Would love to see how one would adapt to the other.

Plant will be forgotten soon enough, just some American hype (no offence, pro athlete and all)

I said a few days ago I have Ward imposing his size and will on Canelo at 175.

Canelo might have better raw skills, speed, physical abilities with high boxing IQ but Ward's size is what will put him over the top in this fight combined with his own ring IQ. Ward will find a way to get inside on Canelo, and his jab will also give Canelo problems same way Kovalev's and GGG's did.

These guys have a lot in common two feather fisted boxers with good movement.

50/50 fight ward was pretty overrated himself.

                  Naw man

Ward had ok size but we’ve seen how canelo deals with bigger guys than ward also ward was pretty chinny having been dropped several times in his career by light hitters.

Canelo is all around too good and slick for Ward

Yeah Ward’s not against mugging him either, just smothering with full contact etc. He would happily turn it into an ugly fight.

I think they’re both insane IQ boxers, but it’s just a style clash that should favour Ward especially with his size that augments it.

At this point in his career, you really can’t count out Canelo though.
