No Mayweather fight cost boxing. The only thing that is seriously killing boxing is Al Haymon and his slew of 30-0 bum beating, hypejobs. If you want to blame anything on Mayweather blame him putting this phagit in power. Haymon tried to create his UFC, but he’s so btch-made and risk-averse, and so clueless with matchmaking that all he has really done is hold the sport down for about 6 years (he’s been hurting the sport for longer, but he was a much smaller force before then) as he’s been very slowly and carefully expanding. By the time he creates the PBC league the sport will be a shadow of it’s former self.
