This is a messy situation on both sides.
Wilder, Deas, and Finkel were quick to throw Breland under the bus after the fight when Breland may have saved Wilder's career.
Then we don't hear much from Wilder for months outside of his two videos (one on the protests and then that July 4th debacle), then when he releases something to the public, it came off as a whole list of excuses.
That was bad on his part...then he follows up with his explanations on the podcast with Brian Custer. That's not a good look.
On the flip side, Breland is not one to say much...but to go to Spencer Fearon to speak about this is highly questionable. That's one of the last people to go to.
Wilder has responded and as someone mentioned this is like Kovalev and John David Jackson all over again.
I will say this: Wilder needs to get in the ring ASAP to prove himself...and it has to be against a top 10 opponent that he hasn't fought yet.

I'm glad Mark Breland spoke up for himself. I don't know how good he is as a trainer/coach. As a fighter Breland was a true champion in the Golden Gloves as well as a professional. Deontay Wilder couldn't even carry his spit bucket, he has some serious mental issues. He's tried to intimidate opponents, did intimidate a few sports reporters, and chocked a female over some ***elery. He's definitely got knockout power, and has good recuperative power when hurt. But he's been lucky to a certain extent to have built the very respectable record he has in boxing. That said he hasn't fought in over a year, since his first loss. Choosing rather to go on a blame game campaign, blaming the crazy suit he wore, Fury's gloves being tampered with, and the water being spiked. He's not dealing with his loss in a constructive manner, I can see him lashing out even further. Getting into serious altercations at home, or in the street. He definitely needs to seek psychiatric help as soon as possible, because his mental condition is just getting worse.
