They take 15% rather than the standard 25% and have a reputation for making sure fighters are paid and not taken advantage of. So that's pretty attractive I guess. It does raise more questions about their business practices though and how sustainable it is - for example Carl Frampton does not pay them at all for their services.

Regarding the threat to the BBC team, it's strange. The threat has came from here, Northern Ireland. The Kinahans aren't involved with our paramilitaries as far as we know and they are who usually make the credible death threats that result in relocation. Maybe it's just reported as that as the reporter lives here. Just found it strange.

So they are just kinda copying the Al Haymon management model, at least partially, where guys pay less & that 10% savings is a good deal for boxers?

It's kinda sad but a big part of it is not getting ****ed about with money apparently. I only know couple mtk lower end guys but they really emphasise that point. Looking and trying to think about the bigger picture maybe as Kinahan is an associate not linked to anything and apparently knows loads of people in boxing he probably makes deals get done/fights get made and makes it easy to sign up as he isn't "part " of it which probably makes it easier to turn blind eye or defend it. It's like all the perks but with deniability.

Yea I suspect a lot of people got sh^t managers in the first place & they are taking a higher % so I guess I can understand it from that POV. They are probably like "this guy charges less & look at all these big names that trust him...that'll work for me".

Yeah. Once on gets signed typically all the friends follow too, at least that's how it was with the guys here so most fighters probably have a friend saying how great it is. Also they seem to give their fighters jobs in the company, example Jamie Conlan. I guess they need it as they are so big and growing fast so that's another attraction, a chance to have a stable job after boxing. So they are coming at you saying we will take less, get you the fights you want, get eyes on you on our youtube cards, your mates are here and if you hang up the gloves theres potential job offers. Writing it all out makes it seem impossibly good lol.
