Ryan Garcia vs Luke Campbell Sells 4k Tickets, 354k in Gate Revenue

This isn't bad at all. The gate number is superior to anything he has done to this date. Far inferior to the other cards in Texas during the pandemic but that was to be expected.

Interested in seeing how he does his next time out and if GBP increase the price point to the tickets.

These are great numbers considering we’re in a pandemic and neither fighter was from Dallas, yet still managed to sell out the event.

Didn't sell out the event but yeah, not bad at all.

Pretty good considering Campbell is a virtually unknown foreigner

Last I remember 4K was the maximum amount of tickets Golden Boy Promotions where allowed to sell due to the pandemic restrictions, which technically is a sell out.

I mean the comps are right there in the original post. There were 534 comps. But there's going to be comps every fight so no big deal.

Still wouldn't quite call this a sellout.

That’s what I found out later about Canelo v Smith. But you wouldn’t know when you read the whole thing, it would just look like someone sold more than this person etc.... But in a lot of the cases, there are restrictions in place...

I mean the restrictions being in place are for every event. What you want to look at in this case is that there were 920 tickets available at the $200 dollar price point and 75% of them were sold. Golden Boy can start increasing them going forward but it is clear they knew what they can sell or can't sell in this case. You were not going to have $500 dollar tickets or even more as you see in other fights because they simply would not sell. That's not Garcia's demo right now. He's not on the level of the top guys and you have to price accordingly.

Canelo, Ryan, Tank and Spence were all in Texas under the same restrictions. The smaller the venue the smaller the capacity. The promoters made the decision where to hold these fights. Meaning if they thought Ryan could sell a venue that scales to 16k they would have put him there
