I would wait if I were him, maybe fight Jeon Love or someone else lol, the man makes a lot of mistakes in the ring, if he fought Benavidez he would get sparked out, Truax landed a lot of shot's that shouldn't be hitting someone on the level of Plant, Benavidez will stop him, but if he wants a big name on his resume maybe he should fight Callum Smith or Danny Jacobs, both of those guys seem very winnable for Plant imo

I think that is exactly what Plant will do. As long as he stays champion and Canelo keeps winning Plant should get a Canelo fight. It may not be far off. Canelo should beat Saunders in May and fight Plant in September. It won't be a sellout for money. Plant will train hard and fight his best. But he won't fight anybody dangerous before he fights Canelo.
