    Tactics for Fury vs Joshua

So which tactics do you think each fighter will utilise?

I think Fury will make a song and dance about walking AJ down, but in reality, I think he's much too smart to get drawn into that trap.

Don't get me wrong, I think Fury could win with those tactics, however going into a shoot-out with Joshua is risky, the dude can punch and has a good technique.

I think Tyson will look to box at range for the first half the fight, and then start putting it on him when he thinks that AJ is starting to tire.

As for AJ, I think the best bet is to come forward and bait Fury into a brawl, if he tries to box Fury at range, I think he fails due to Tysons length and aukwardness.

Honest debate is welcome, any trolls will get blocked.

I think Fury will box more cautiously early, he’ll use his superior movement and skills to befuddle AJ. When or if he figures AJ out I expect him to then be more aggressive and look to get inside and stop him.

For AJ, I think he’s just got to go for it. He can’t outbox Fury from range, he can’t outfight him on the inside. He’s got to be aggressive early, put combinations together and look to hurt Fury. One thing AJ does have is the power advantage so go ahead and use it, make it a firefight. If AJ tries to box cautiously, he’ll just get schooled IMO.

You mean after arbitration ends in 6 months? After Wilder-Fury 3? Or after Fury's second hiatus when he realizes that he can't fight anybody else but Wilder without his money going into Wilder's pocket?

Feel free to create a thread to talk about Fury-Wilder 3.

This thread is about Fury vs Joshua, so either contribute or move along.

If Wilder wins the arbitration case, I don't think Fury will fight Joshua because, as he himself said, he'd rather retire than be a work boy. And that's what he'll be, fighting Joshua but working for Wilder.

But who knows. We'll find out in 6 months...

The only tactic AJ has is to not be mentally shaken when the bell rings & to throw the kitchen sink at Fury.

Fury will step to AJ, AJ has to step to him in return. Not sit at range and let Fury dictate the pace of the fight.

Employ Wallin's gameplan and not let Fury gain any momentum.

This fight is won on Stamina, AJ hasn't got the stamina to match or handle Fury. Wlad didn't either which is why he didn't risk throwing shots he knew he'd miss.

Can a 270 + pound Tyson Fury box and bamboozle from range? When is the last time Fury implemented this type of style? Fury has not fought that type of fight since Wilder vs Fury I etc

Tyson Fury is the favorite and should win, but make no doubt about it 'I don't think Fury is the same fighter he was, before his comeback'.

Tyson Fury is 270 + pounds, because he only wants to train a certain way 'Fury will fight Joshua just like he fought Wilder II'.

I am 90% sure Tyson Fury will apply the same tactics he did up against Wilder II. The big question is 'How is Joshua going to deal with it?'.

Tyson Fury is getting hit in this fight, I don't think he is going to be hard to find Denium.

No idea why people keep speaking of Fury's movement? Fury has not used his riddler style since Wilder vs Fury I.

Fury was right there to be hit against Wallin.

Cant get into deep technical analysis right now.

But joshua seems to be rather gunshy now.
Tyson should look to get off to a solid start early on. Display his speed. Sit down on some punches to keep joshua worried and guessing.

Joshua does not like it at all when fire comes back.

Regarding Joshua? I dont know. He wont be able to dance around fury. He wont be able to outbox fury at midrange, he is too straight forward and stiff for that.
A guy like fury really likes the punches to come straight at him.

He could try to be on the frontfoot and walk fury down.
However, I dont think joshua paces himself well when he fights aggressively. Isnt good at conserving his energy. If he doesnt fix that, he is in big trouble when his punches start to slow down.
