“Risk”? Who would honestly favor Broner. It’s a borderline sacrifice of Broner wth lol. This isn’t the Broner of years past. Maybe if he were to come back and look good this becomes a nice fight, but right now this fight has the look of a current top level fighter picking on a dude who’s trying his best to not just become a gatekeeper with a name

Broner gives Prograis a 'Theophane' beating and sends him on his way. Easily. We usually see the best Broner against B-level guys and Prograis is just that.

There's truth in his statement. Broner has bills to pay, so he's not going to take a risky fight for a little while.

It’s why you don’t preemptively match the best guys in the division before the top 5 is cleared out...regis should’ve smoked Ramirez before fighting Taylor bc people now try and push that Ramirez is no 2...regis and Taylor were equally skilled I had that fight a draw, but regis had only beaten one noteworthy guy before that fight, while Taylor already had Ivan and postol on resume...regis and Taylor are much better than Ramirez imo and hooker is a B level fighter that’s trying to pushed as some huge win for Ramirez since it was a unification

I always like Prograis' insight. He's a very confident guy but also has an honest and grounded take on things. He's right, Broner needs to get to those big paydays so he will try build himself back up and into contention with some opportunistic matchmaking.
Fighting Prograis doesn't generate the revenue for the risk involved. Sure, Regis has some.flaws to his games but he comes in to bring punishment and is will to take shots to land his own. He gave Taylor almost as good as he got and he's beaten the fight out of alot of good opposition (Releikh Flanagan, etc).

Regis just had a tune up against a scrub his last outing.
Broner can take a tune up and truth be told, he doesn't need Regis. Let's not act like Broner doesn't have a solid resume regarding opposition faced.
Regis doesn't hold a belt and if he would have handled business against Taylor, he would have greater leverage.
And it can be argued he beat Taylor, but he compromised his position fighting on the opponent's home turf and not placing forth a dominant performance (i know easier said than done). The fight may come together, but maybe not at the time when Regis wants it

Just like you don't wanna fight Subriel Matias:
Matias To Prograis: If It's Fear You Feel, I Don't Blame You; I Scare Myself
“The sport that you and I chose is one of courage and bravery! Showtime already offered you the fight,” Matias stated on social media. “[I]f it's fear that you feel, I don't blame you; I scare myself...”
“I'm going to write it to you in your language so that you understand,” mocked Matias. “[Take] the fight, Prograis, I'm waiting [for] the contract.”

Prograis: Matias is a C-Level Fighter; I Will Eat Him Up And Sh-t Him Out!
“Who the f--k is this calling me out?” Prograis asked, rhetorically upon learning of Matias’ claims. “This is a C- fighter and I will eat him up and SH-T him out.
“You better finish kindergarten before you join the big boys. I know I shouldn’t be replying to this but if you know me you know I can’t backdown from a fight.”

Barrios or Matias! Choose One! Stop talking about Broner!

He truly is no longer any good. He is a gate keeper.
