Floyd was past prime when he fought Canelo.

Bull****. Canelo loses 10 out of 10 at any weight.

Garcia should stop chirping so much and get in with Tank Davis. He talked a whole plethora of sh@t to Tank and now wants to run. Smh.

Can't use Gatti because that really wasn't the best of Floyd - he didn't use 20% of his arsenal, Gatti was just that bad.

Same with the actual Canelo fight - Floyd was never pushed at any point.

To me, the way to see a fighter's best is when they're truly tested. Of Floyd's opponents only two really tested him - Burton and Chavez.

With Chavez? Like, watch that whole fight. Floyd starts distance defensive, Chavez ramps it up, Floyd literally switches styles like 5 times in the fight and showed different dimensions, even proving he could fight trench and outfight an aggressive fighter. He had to use every single trick he had to get Chavez off him, to the point Chavez's corner had to call it.

Like he proved there was nothing couldn't have an answer for - and basically anyone that fought him, he chose a style and if they couldn't get him out of that style, they took a loss.

Canelo wouldn't be able to deal with that. Ever. He's never been able to handle varying styles or aggression.

Even Castillo didn't really "test" Floyd, Floyd worked the first fight with a hand injury, so I expected a close outcome, performed better in the second but never switched gears because he never needed to. Same as Maidana.

better? Sure, light years? I’m not so sure. He’s always looked good against basic fighters with weak jabs, poor defense and no foot movement. For example, around the time he fought Floyd, he looked really good against cintron, baldomir and Angulo. Didn’t look so great against Lara and Trout. Fast forward to more recent times, looked really good against Kirkland, the smith bros and fielding. Struggled twice with an older ggg and best case scenario, deserves to be 1-1 with the win being controversial. I wasn’t impressed with how he looked vs Jacobs or a run down Kovalev as those fights lacked much offense from either side. And despite the scorecards, his fight with the smaller and much older cotto was pretty competitive. So I think Canelo always looks good vs a certain kind of fighter and I just think he’s fought more of those kinds of fighters post 2014 which may give the illusion that he’s significantly better.

160 Canelo would destroy Floyd.....but I know what you mean. Theses are just fantasy fights anyway.

I do agree with Garcia, though.

Yeah we all know floyd make sure canelo was well drained down to 152 for their fight, when canelo was barely making 154 just to make sure he wont get in trouble by a young canelo..yeah maywheater was so afraid of a puppy to the point he needed him very weak
maybe he didn't want another loss (j.l castillo 1)

He called out a little guy, old too, got his ass whipped. When they fought Canelo THOUGHT he was at his beat because he said Floyds name. Floyd didn’t call his name, then he said, when he got beat, he only lost because of experience. Never gave Floyd props for nothing else, boxing skill, handsome, punching power, defense movement nothing...but thats what beat Canelo. All those skills beat Canelo not the experience......So what I'm saying is Floyd Money Mayweather would beat Canelo anytime because he has better skill and in any era he would be better than CaneloBeefeater.
