In any Latin American country Floyd would have lost many fights by disqualification due to hugging, would have been KOed because they refs would atually do their job and wouldn´t let him hug, and most importantly due to lack of offensive action. Dancing around a ring is not fighting. " Being slick " is a lame excuse for lack of manhood.
In my best late great Roger Mayweather voice. " U MUST NOT KNOW SH@T ABOUT BOXING"!

So far, the best Canelo we've seen was against G in the second fight.

If we measure based on that...

The Floyd that fought Jesus Chavez (in my opinion the best of Floyd) would make short work of Canelo.

I think Floyd vs Gatti or Canelo were very impressive also.

“Boring style”? Most people on This thread alone say no version of Canelo would ever beat Floyd.
Race card? You are clearly living in some one race country.

More important, it’s not your fault because you don’t know heck about boxing. The boxing you are taking about is called caveman style fighting and can be found in a lot of seedy bars around the world. Untrained idiots throwing haymakers at each other.
You must think Gatti is the greatest boxer of all time. Or maybe Brandon Rios? Maybe Mayorga?

Mayweather wont fight best versions. He only takes oppurtunity that will give him an advantage. Like fighting Berto instead of Thurman his mandatory challenger before retiring. Sucker punching Ortiz, putting pillow gloves on Maidana. Hugging and running and a lot more.

His defense "used" to be close, but not recently! Lol! There's not too many as good as Sweet Pea, Floyd, and young Roy Jones Jr.! I think Boots might be the next one!

Canelo is far beyond the boxer he was at 23. In fact today he’s light years beyond the boxer he was at 23.

That was not the best Canelo. He is a far different and more mature boxer today than he was at 23. Not saying he’d win but there’s no comparison today as to what he was at 23.
