  • Comments Thread For: Saunders: I'll Give My Life To Beat Canelo, He's Never Faced a Gypsy Man!

As previously reported on BoxingScene.com, terms have been reached for a May unification between super middleweight champions Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and Billy Joe Saunders. Canelo captured the WBC, WBA titles back in December, when he dominated unbeaten Callum Smith over twelve rounds in Texas.

Fury said it, too much inactivity.

Would have given him a tough fight 2-3 years ago if he had been fighting 3x a year but he wasn't and didn't.

Canelo with his top class PED regime now can pace a solid 12 rounds, he will always have something to follow up with BJS. BJS being just out of range and potshotting to edge rounds won't work as effectively anymore.

That fight was always going to be BJS winning early rounds then cruising in the 2nd half of the fight. That type of fight doesn't exist anymore. Canelo is active and better conditioned, BJS is inactive and his conditioning will be worse.

If BJS pulled out a victory then we have to concede that gypsy men are just better. If a prime active mexican on horse meat can't do it who can?

That "short notice" excuse is lame! Callum Smith should've been in the gym to fight Canelo, or someone else! Obviously Canelo was in the gym!

canelo was in the gym because he knew exactly who he was fighting and who he intended on fighting. He gives short notice on purpose to give his opponents less time to train. It’s a known A side tactic and canelo has done it often. So you may think the excuse is lame but I think pulling that tactic is lame. Along with catch weights and rehydration clauses.

Name the times he's done it.

Nothing but lies from you. Smith said he had already been in training and there were no excuses. The excuses are only coming form haters like you.

stop being so emotional. It’s not lies just because you don’t like the truth. He gave fielding short notice, he gave Kovalev short notice, he gave smith short notice, Yidilgrim just got short notice and you have both Saunders and plant on record saying canelo tried to give them short notice. So it’s known that he does that so he’s either using it as a strategy to give them less notice or he wants to make sure all of the banned substances are out of his system before vada testing can start. You pick the reason then.

Fighters just can't win, can they?

High level opponent calls you out on short notice.

You take it, lose = "tainted win/cash out".

You don't take it = "ducking!"

You win by close decision = "robbery!"

You win by wide decision with an effective jab = "robbery!"

You knock them spark out = "PEDs!"

I swear, I respect these fighters in a social media era where the "fans" just can't make up their damn minds.
