I don't think there is a hand injury.
I have Canelo as P4P No. 1 (hands down) but his team loves to fight guts coming off of extended lay-offs, short training camps, or previously injured.
I think Plant intentionally went 12 with Truax to get some much needed rounds in & if Team Canelo thinks Plant has an injured hand, you can bet they will offer him big money on short notice. The basic take or leave it approach that has worked very well for Alvarez.
Smart tactic by team Plant if the injury is indeed a smokescreen

Uzca was neve hurt and basically wanted Plant to win. The only round Uzca attacked, he destroyed Plant´s face and almost KOed him. Uzca´s face was clean.

The excuse is in response to a question posed to Caleb as to why he did not knock Truax out. He looked around as if looking for an answer and then said that he hurt his hand early in the fight. The burden is on him to show that the hand is or is not injured. That will put the question to rest.
