Other then those few points ,he’s a solid CW , very crafty and for his time could have maybe even had a run at a title beyond Holmes if not for one of the most dangerous heavyweight fighters Mike Tyson .

Well balanced guy ,underated puncher but won with speed and great angles .

      B + .

oh yeah, Cooney could have totally won, had he not gotten KTFO less than halfway through the fight

jesus you're an idiot. Not even gonna comment on you calling him a solid cruiserweight, who never fought in the division.

He was absolutely great, A-Plus! But the fighter who wins my heart from that era is Matthew Saad Mohammed. What a backstory and what a truly fine human being. And to say he had the heart of a warrior is almost an insult because of how deep he had to dig at times. His heart was monstrous. Spinks vs Mohammed would have been one of the great fights but Dwight Mohammed Qawi derailed that one.

abracada did. He's either 12 years old or simply does not know the sport. Or maybe both. Spinks was not the greatest ever, but a D+? ........Rockin'

He's considered to be the ATG at Light Heavy and he fought in the golden era of that division. Then he went on to win a Heavyweight title. Great fighter. Easily A+

A+ no doubt about it. He had dynamite in both hands and a awkward style that he made work for him.

Cooney was winning the fight sure the announcers claimed otherwise but where ? He was pressed and was a bit shaken with just jabs landed ,even in the second round he just steals the round in last seconds yet the announcer says it was a Spinks round ? Cooney stuns Spinks a few times in the next rnd 3 with left hooks not to mention the digging body shots he threw the entire time and in rnd 4 you can see Spinks knees go weak a bit with a double left hook bf he got caught in the last rnd 5 ...the only real round Cooney was losing clearly but he wasn’t winning beforehand ? Ha.

To show you how bias the commentary was ,Spinks was warned for excessive holding in rnd 4 ,yet the announcer says both fighters are warned . That guy is on someone’s payroll for sure .Ha

The fact is you just don’t watch fights and always getting corrected on here . You also think Spinks won twice over Holmes but no one who really watched both fights thinks that and Holmes was very badly injured in the first fight and was advised not to to take that’s why he didn’t throw many right hands ,it had something to do with his spine . You didn’t know that because you don’t know boxing .

The last statement I don’t even know what that is but it proves to you are a moron more then I though you were which is very hard . You shouldn’t comment at all,you have to be one of the ******est posters I’ve encountered on here and lies daily .
